    Default ListView module filtred

    Hi,

I would like present menus/modules such way :

    Prospects
    - Accounts (typerospects)
    - Contacts (associated to some accounts with typerospects)

    Customers
    - Accounts (type:customers)
    - Contacts (associated to some accounts with type:customers)

    All
    - Accounts (as it is presented by default module)
    - Contacts (as it is presented by default module)

I gone though studio, module editor and dropdown editor, and I get the feeling they are not designed at all for this purpose.
Any explication, tutorail link or documentation would be warmly welcome.

    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,
    Francois

There is currently no easy way to get one listview that shows more than one module at a time, so you could get Accounts (type of prospects) or Contacts (type of prospects) but not both at the same time.

If thats not an issue then there are lots of ways to do this, probably none of them are exactly what you are looking for but one might be close

I am assuming you are in CE so reports are out, they would be the best way to got this type of functionality. Something like ZuckerReports MAY work for you. That should be able to let you create a report that showed you only the records you wanted and then tie that report to a link or favorite. Pretty easy.

You could also do it with saved searches (on the Advanced Search pane). You could use the My Sites module to make these searches into links (you have to cut-n-paste the URL).

I have in the past created custom modules that combined two or more modules using a view in MySQL to merge the data in the background. Its not easy to do however, listing is pretty easy but detail/edit views can be tricky to implement.
