Hi-
I'm trying to install Sugar 6.2.4 CE onto an OpenSUSE 11.4 box. PHP 5.3.8 and MySQL 5.1.53
I copied over the files and tweaked the php.ini as described in the install instructions. I am able to make it all the way through the install script including the steps where the installer checks the dependencies of the system and confirms that it can access the mysql database, and PHP version and modules are OK.
Then in the final step, when I click "Install" the installer bombs out at the table creation step "Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables and relationship metadata". I checked the sugarcrm.log and install.log files and they indicate that the installer is failing when it tries to create the first table (acl?)
But the database and accounts exist and have the needed privileges (I checked by logging in to mysql and executing 'SHOW GRANTS' for the accounts). No PHP or MySQL errors are being generated.
This machine is behind a firewall.
Does the installer currently being packaged with 6.2.4 work? I noticed one bug in it where the checkbox for automatically checking for updates is always set to yes...
Can anyone offer some advice or assistance? Thanks.
P.S.- I have installed previous versions of SugarCRM without any problems like this, so I'm wondering what could be going on.
