Any way to upgrade from 6.5.0beta5?

Hi, I have an installation that was upgraded to 6.5.0beta5 some time back, and now I can't seem to find any valid upgrade package. Does one exist that will take it from this version to anything later?

Beta-Releases are for testing only and not for production so they usually don't offer update packages for betas.

Thanks. I figured as much. Any idea if there's a way to back up the data and import it into a new installation, or to point a new installation at the old database and upgrade that, manually run some scripts against the database, etc? Worst case is that there's not an overwhelming amount data and we start again in a clean install.

You could try to connect your old db with a new installation, but this might not work, it depends on what you have done with your beta installation ...

1) If your beta is not far away from your new installation there is great chance that the standard SugarCRM-db is the same, so you could try this. It only needs some configuration in config.php to tell Sugar to use another db. (You should stop web server first and restart it afterwards)
2) One thing is very important: if you do changes in Sugar this often has an impact on db AND coding (e.g. vardefs-files). And this might cause problems if you change database when your code base expects a different db structure. In this case sometimes a admin->Repair helps.
3) Some data is stored in files, e.g. attachments, documents, emails. You'll loose that if taking an old db with a new Sugar installation and references to the files in your db will be corrupt then too.
