    Default Bitrock for Linux Question

    Good Morning--
I have a question for the group, before I "cream" a running machine.

We have a CentOS 4 server prepared and operational. Recent over-the-network updates have brought the OS to
version 4.4, but MySQL and PHP are still the original 4.x versions which were released on the CentOS media.

We interested in using the Bitrock Linux Installer (currently 4.5.0f) in order to install a running SugarCRM as quickly
as possible and only have experience on Win OS, where neither PHP nor Apache previously existed.

The question, therefore is: IF WE SIMPLY INSTALL FROM THE BITROCK INSTALLER, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO
EXISTING PHP, MYSQL AND APACHE INSTALLATIONS ? Do they get updated or ignored ?

    Any information will be helpful.

    Thank you,

    MIke

    Hi,

The MySQL, Apache, etc. bundled with BitRock will not interfere at all with your current installations.

    Best regards

    Daniel
