    Default Blank pages in installation

    Hi,

I am trying to install the comunityversion on my Linux Laptop (Fedora 10) but am having the following problem.

After accepting the license, the next page that is displayed tells me that I have to change the permissions on config.php and that a lot of files/directory's under the modules-directory are not writeable.
After changing the permissions, I try to check again and then I receive only a blank page.
I have no experience with PHP at all and only a little with httpd configuration.

    Who can help me?

Have a look at the error log of your apache.
Hopefully you will find some error messages, at the tail of such file, regarding this error.

    Hi

Try chmod'ing your sugar directory recursively with wwwrun:users
    or apache:apache.

    Should sort things out

The times I've seen this, it has usually been the result of an invalid session.save_path setting in PHP.INI, or the setting is pointing to a directory that is not accessible to the web server user.

If you adjust your PHP.INI to address a problem with the setting, don't forget to restart your web server to apply the setting.

These are the last lines in /var/log/httpd/error_log and as said before, I have no experience with php so I don't know where I should change PHP-specific settings.
