I've had Sugar CE for about six years. I keep updating via the wizard. I'm sure there is all sorts of cruft and other stuff from previous editions that is giving me a minor AJAX problem.
What would be the best way to do a clean install but OBVIOUSLY keep my data.
I was thinking:
1. do the update via the wizard so as to add any new fields to the database (are there any?)
2. Do a sql-dump of the database via phpMyAdmin.
3. Create a new empty database.
3. Install 6.4 (in a new directory ... just in case!)
4. Import all the data in the dump to the new database via phpMyAdmin.
Is there a way to do a clean install of 6.4 and NOT create a new database OR is there a better methodology you suggest? I think that maybe a clean install is a good idea after all these years of updates.
Thanks.
Al
