install issue on web server

Good morning all

I have been trying to install Sugar onto my web server and have just had no luck what so ever.

I cant see where i have gone wrong.

Its like the template is missing, the menu is all down the left side of the screen and the content is just everywhere. See screenshot

I have tried adjusting the permissions and everything and still not working

Hello,

Could be a couple of issues, which version of php is set up on the web server?

Is the web server accessed through something like cPanel?

Grab that info and we will start from there!

Im using dreamhost at this time till i get my new website running and then ill be moving to an aust based server

That shouldnt effect the site tho.. mainly speed

PHP mode is : PHP 5.3.x CGI

I have the options to change to the PHP Mode to
PHP 5.3.x FastCGI
PHP 5.2.x CGI
PHP 5.2.x FastCGI

Just in case, I am running PHP in 5.2.5 CGI mode, so you might give that a shot.

It also occurred to me that it may be a file permissions issue happening, make sure that you set the file permissions to 7 5 5. You can do it recursively with something like Filezilla pretty easily, or with the CHMOD command if you have terminal access.

i think its fixed... well it looks right now

It was the PHP mode, althought i thought i read that it should be 5.3 somewhere... anyway..

all working now on PHP 5.2 CGI
