Default installation on godaddy shared linux hosting

i've been pulling my hair out trying to get this to work. i thing i have found my problem, but not too sure how ot fix it.

GoDaddy uses seperate servers for their databases, so when i run the instalation file for SugarCRM CE it does nothing. Sugar is looking for the local host to create a database. i have already created the database that i would like to use. how can i redirect sugar to the database that i've already made?

    thanks for any help
    Carl

Threre should be a place in the sugar install where you can specifcy a database host name, user and password.
If you have not already done so you will have to go to the control panel
    1) create a database
    2) create a user and give it a password
    3) assign that user rights to the database you created in step 1

Then you can either edit the config file by hand to point to the database or start the install over and give it that information. You will want to replace "localhost" with the hostname GoDaddy gave you as your database server.

You have to create the database on GoDaddy through the control panel and then specify it and the user name credentials in the install.
