Default Installation on the sbs 2011

    Hi,

I´m new at the Sugar CRM.
I've tried to install Sugar CRM CE 6.3 on MS SBS 2011.
I've tried bundled installer with both MS SQL and MySQL.
Them i'm double-klick on the installer, at first it looks like it starts installing, but after few seconds it disappears without a warning or error message.
I've even tried bundled installer för CE 5.0 and that one worksfine. I can install and configure that version.

Does anyone know that the problem is?
Is it possible to install 6.3 on the SBS 2011?

    TIA

    Vlad

Having the same issue as well.
Can see it in the processes trying to start but just fails with no errors or notification.

The closest I get to any error or feed back is a Sharepoint Foundation error in the event log with EventID 6389 at the time i try to run the installer.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Cheers

Are you aware: SBS 2011 already includes MS SQL Server Express ?

When you run the stack installer, it tries to install MS SQL Server Express - not allowed because Sharepoint and Exchange are using the MS SQL Server database.

The stack installer is more for a developer's personal machine - or for a server that doesn't have a database and webserver already running.

Since you already have a database running on your server- you should probably NOT be trying to install the stack installer -

Get help from your server admin to do a normal install of the Sugar code in your SBS 2011's IIS or Apache web document root folder- inetpub (IIS) or public_html (Apache) - without clobbering your existing web applications (Sharepoint and Exchange Web Access).

if you,re not sure which version to get, do this wizard:

Download Wizard | Open Source Business & Social CRM - SugarCRM
