Default Path Delimiter Issue when installing new module

I am trying to install a module and am having the strangest error.

Failed to copy /var/www/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/x3Y9dS/SugarModules/modules/mage_MageOrders to modules/mage_MageOrders

The reason I am getting this error is because when sugar extracts the module to the temp directory it is writing the paths wrong. Instead of using / it is using \ as the path delimiter

    This causes directories like

    SugarModules\Modules

Instead of a Directory Called SugarModules then a subdirectory Modules...

    PLEASE HELP

After much searching of forums and many problems with Sugar upgrades and module installs, I now develop on Windows, using a WAMP stack that mirrors my commercial web hosts. One of the most 'missed' settings when upgrading/installing modules is the Administration > System Settings > Maximum Upload Size. If it is set to low the UW and Module loader both error out with no return error message to help you. Make sure this is set to a size LARGER than your upgrade/patch/module file. So now I do my upgrades and most module installs on my WAMP server, upload as a zip file and database dump. Once unzipped I run the script referenced in the quote above and, if it was an upgrade, then I make the following changes as, generally, the UW and Module loader windows are now blank

Blank module loader and UGW after an upgrade
Module loader and upgrade wizard blank

I'm now running Sugar Corp 6.4.4 and look forward with much trepidation to the release of Sugar 6.5. Hope this helps someone
