Sugar 6.2.3. mysql error ( can not connect to mysql, or mysql is not running? )

Hello all,

I am runing my own xp machine which runs sugar as a server..

I downloaded the all in one package from shit site which comes with php/mysql and so forth.

went to the install throught my internal network ip ( lan) and sugar worked.

But..

When i go to admin panel -->diagnogstic tool. it says to me that mysql ain't running..

Netiher can i connect from my client with MYSQL workbench to mysql database.

When i go into the xp(server machine) the services tell me that mysql is running.

What worries me is that this all in package is pre-configured to make sugar work ( this is question)

Bascily my goal is to run other websites aswell on my xp machine by putting the websites in my htdocs directory of sugar.. it seems to work.. but i can not make new databases as i have no connection to mysql.

Little of what you are indicating adds up. You need to more clearly explain your problem.

For example, it wouldn't be possible for you to access the Admin control panel (where you would select Diagnostics Tool) if MySQL wasn't running.

Sugar as a whole wouldn't function if it wasn't running, so I am not sure how it is you've determined it isn't running.

Perhaps your issue is that you are putting in the wrong user/pass for MySQL or you are attempting remote logins with credentials that don't permit it. Either way, you need to clarify what the problem is.
