This is where you post to announce New events and the formation of new Sugar Developer/User Groups. I also will be posting tips and help in getting a new users group started.

I am sorry this reply took so long. as I have been extreamly busy and unable to Post regularly. There are several ways to get people interested in your meetup group. The best way to get people to be interested SugarCRM is to meet with other related groups such as local PHP users groups. MySQL Users groups or other related users groups such as Sales, Business, Customer Care groups. One of the best places I know online for local meetups is http://www.meetup.com

Some other suggestions is to hold combined meeting with other Meetup groups such as PHP and MySQL groups... The main Reason for doing this is because SugarCRM is an extreemly focused on one product. Being this focused makes it hard to attract large groups by its self. This will keep people comming back because the crowd will be larger and more social as well. In addition SugarCRM will be learned about by more people. Also posting messages here about local meeting or new groups forming up will help draw those who are local and interested in SugarCRM.

Topics should be varied and have diffrent levels of technical skills: Users, Administrators and Developers. You should allow for some unstructured social time. One good thing is to plan some structure content for the event Having this for each keeps some interest in comming back as you are providing relevent information also announce the Itenerary a week in advance at least.

I've created a DC SugarCRM Developers/Users Group on Meetup at DC SugarCRM Developers/Users Group (Washington, DC) - Meetup.

I'm interested in it from the developer side of things, but how this group develops will depend on who joins.
