Hello

We are a software house considering interfacing our telephony software to Sugar. My understanding is that if we modify Sugar community version we must offer customers who buy our customisation the source code of any Sugar 'software' that is modified.

But what about the software that is not derived from Sugar. For example the software interfacing with other systems? I presume we would not be obliged to provide source code for that?

What about software that might communicate with Sugar via an API, eg soap, but is not derived from any Sugar source code. My assumption is that there would be no obligation to provide any of the source code for this 'part' of our software offering?

So in summary, my assumption is that we would only be obliged to provide source code for items such as sugar modules that we customised? Can someone please confirm and / or outline the obligation?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Angus
