Resell Sugar Community without being a parnter

Hi,

My company has a small client that wants to use Sugar Community (and eventually grow it into something bigger)

Do you know, if I am allowed to resell (as a Service) the community edition, without being an OEM partner?

Also - can I change the Logo on the top from Sugar, to something else?

Hi,

You can do Sugar CE projects without being a partner.

You can change the top logo in Admin > Settings.

Yes. But you might want to check the AGPL license conditions if you plan to use version 6

That is, you can't really protect any customizations to CE 6.* as your or your client's intellectual property. Therefore, it is better to build unique business solutions with Sugar Pro or Ent. On the other hand, companies using a lightly modified CE system for contact and pipeline management have no intellectual property to protect, so the AGPL license is not an issue.
