Upgrade Community Edition to Professional

Dear Support,

Can we upgrade Community Edition with features like Team Management. Will this affect licensing. Also, can we upgrade Community Edition with all features in Professional code. Did someone did that already and posted in SugarExchange?

I'm a bit unclear on your question. If you're asking if it's possible to upgrade from the Community Edition to the Professional (paid) Edition of Sugar, then yes, it's definitely possible to do this. Sugar provides upgrade scripts to migrate your data from CE to Pro. When you purchase Sugar Pro/Enterprise, look for those upgrade scripts in the Support area; log in to the Support Portal and you'll find them under tjhe "Download Purchased Software" section.

If you are asking if it's possible to load customizations that mimic certain Professional edition features into Sugar CE, it would depend on how those customizations were licensed. If someone builds a customization that has a GPL-compatible license, you are free to add that customization to your Sugar CE instance.

Thanks for the response and sorry for not being clear. My company needes are limited and community edition has all the features except Team Management. Since I am a developer, I thought of enhancing the functioanlity by adding Team Management feature, But I wanted to make sure that we are not violating any license terms. Also, I was wondering someone already did try to mimic some features of Professional Edition into community edition. If yes, I would appreciate if you can redirect me to appropriate place.
