    Default ProjectTask SubPanel

    Hi,

Im not sure if im creating this thread in the correct area, however, i would like to request some help with Sugar's Project Module, more specifically the ProjectTask SubPanel.

My ProjectTask SubPanel has an Assigned To field that we would like to have show the user that the project task is assigned to, this is there by default but it shows the user's Sugar ID which is a bit a problem.

Please can someone explain to me how to change this to the user's name and not the user's Sugar ID.

I have tried creating a new subpanel but then came to the conclusion that we must be able to change it. Please i would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Sugar Version: Open Source - Version 5.0.0f (Build 3338)

Can't you look at other subpanels and change this one accordingly?

    Hi,

Thank you for the quick response!!

I have tried to do that, but i am unsure how to add an assigned_to_user_name field to:

Studio > Projects > Subpanels > Project Tasks

I have tried looking how other subpanels do this, and in the People module SubPanel called Cases i found uses a field called assigned_user_name. I have been trying to figure out how to do this?

There is only assigned_to_user_id in the Studio > Project > SubPanels

What you asked me to try is what i am actually asking help with, as i have no idea how to add new fields to subpanels.

    Thumbs down Re: ProjectTask SubPanel

I had a look through all the modules we have, and i noticed that the only modules with subpanels with a field assigned to is in People and Orders modules.

    I looked in: Contacts > metadata > SubPanels > forCases.php

I chose Cases because when i went into the Studio to look for a subpanel that has the field i want in Project Tasks subpanel.

I found a similar field in Studio > People > SubPanel > Cases

In the forCases.php file i cannot find anything that relates to the field that i am looking for. Please help!!!

    Hi,

I managed to resolve this issue:

Backup the database as well as :

The entire modules, custom, and cache folder (excluding "uploads" in cache) too.

Thereafter i simply went to admin->repair->rebuild relationships and rebuilt the relationship and the Assigned_to_user_name appeared in the Hidden fields in the Studio, so i then just moved to across to be visible.
