    Default apache error

    Hi everyone,

    I've tried to install sugarCRM 6.1.4 on a ubuntu box and noticed there are a bunch of errors in apache log (shown below) after deploying the sugarCRM 6.1.4 + some custom modules. Does anybody has experienced the same problem and know any fix for this kind of problem?

    Thanks,

    John Lam

    hmmm, I'm having the same error, I'm receiving the

    file does not exist public_html/cache/jsLanguage/Administration/en_us.js, referer: url

    I have made the changes:

    'default_permissions' =>
    array (
    'dir_mode' => 1535,
    'file_mode' => 511,
    'user' => 'www-data',
    'group' => 'www-data',
    ),

    the reason for the 1535 and 511 is resulting permissions of 777 for the sake of troubleshooting.

    I tried moving en_us.js from a rpath server running sugarcrm to the Administration folder, i run the install and the file is removed. Some other files from the install are moved to the proper location but the en_us.js is not ran since it is removed when the system re-caches. I'm going to check into the possibility of disabling the cache or at least the refreshing of? did you figure out your problem or have any pointers?

    Can you make sure you changed the owner and permission by chown and chmod?

    yes, I did the following and applied full permissions for troubleshooting's sake:

    chown -R www-data:www-data /home/primarydomain/subdomain/public_html
    chmod -R 777 /home/primarydomain/subdomain/public_html

    It's odd that I have this working on the appliance server but can't get it on the production. Is there any information from phpinfo that might help in resolving this? main differences between systems are as follow:

    Working Server - Development box
    Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit
    Apache 2
    PHP 5.3.6: server api: Apache 2.0 Handler
    user: daemon group: daemon
    MySQL: 5.1.56

    Non-working - Production box
    Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64-bit
    Apache 2
    PHP 5.3.2 server api: CGI/FastCGI (have also tried Apache 2.0 Handler)
    user: www-data group: www-data
    MySQL: 5.1.41

    I know I'm definitely using the correct user/group because when I change to incorrect values in the config.php file it gives the zip error when I upload files. I would like to state that after doing a fresh install on the box of 6.2.1 and having this issue I then cleared the SugarCRM folder and copied over the data from the development box adjusting the config file as needed, I still have issues. I even deleted the MySQL DB and started from scratch. I'm sure it's something with the environment but I'm not sure what it is.

    Headbanging, red knuckles stage has been reached...

    This particular SugarCRM install was working perfectly well with the same ISP on an older, slower server. After changing to the new server (same ISP), I get these errors when installing ZuckerReports or do any Custom Modules work. I've tried every workaround in this forum, and none have proven to work.

    I've tried default_permissions=
    {1528, 432, '', ''}
    {1528, 432, 'apache','apache'}
    {1533, 509, 'apache','apache'}
    {1520, 432, '', ''}
    {1520, 432, 'apache', 'apache'}
    {02775, 0775, 'apache', 'apache'}
    {02775, 0775, '', ''}
    and every integer between {1528...1541, 432, 'apache', 'apache'}

    All of them come back with an error

    ZIP Error(0): Status(0): Arhive(cache/upload/Copy777ZuckerReports_1.14_module.zip): Directory(/v/srchiv.ca/httpdocs/srckm/cache/upload/upgrades/temp/s6DU7A)

    The sugarcrm.log file contains these errors repeatedly:

    Code:
    Sat Aug 20 02:26:34 2011 [3939][1][FATAL] HTTP Error: no data present after HTTP headers
    Sat Aug 20 02:26:34 2011 [3939][1][FATAL] HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error
    Server: nginx
    Date: Sat, 20 Aug 2011 09:26:34 GMT
    Content-Type: text/html
    Connection: keep-alive
    X-Application-Server: 10.13.10.130
    Content-Length: 0
    I suspected the flavour of Unix perhaps is the problem. Does anybody know what the difference between nginx and all the other Unix flavours is?

    Oh and yes, I did run

    chown -R apache.apache /path/to/sugar
    chmod -R 777 /path/to/sugar

    I don't care about security until I get this working in some way shape or form.

    Thanks

    Just wondering if anyone has found a resolve for this. I can only get modules installed on a Bitnami SugarCRM appliance server, I have to install modules on this then move the sugarcrm folder over to my Ubuntu 10.04 (with virtualmin) system. I have tried commenting out the chmod code as stated in some readme's, tried setting folder permissions to 777 recursively, the owner is set to the apache user/group. Any other things to try?

    Just a quick re-cap, files are moved out of the zip file, tables for modules are created in the database, only thing that doesnt happen is en_us.js isnt populated so i have no tabs for the module.

    Hey Matt, did you get anywhere with this? I have been having the same problems for months. I got sick and tired of trying to sort it, doing everything that was suggested on the forums with no result.

    I had read a a partial thread that mentioned these problems didn't occur when working/developing on the Windows platform (WAMP stack) so that is what I'm doing now. Develop on Windows, (primarily upgrades and custom module installation) upload to test site, test, migrate to working site. It appears to be working OK, although even with this setup I sometimes get errors that for the life of me I can't trace.

    If you have any feedback on solutions you may have found would be glad to hear them.
