I am very new to sugarcrm, If you find this question unclear, please reply me.

I am using sugarcrm community version 5.5. I have add many custom field to lead.
Some of the data if capture, should be converted in new lead. These data is not capture when
lead is captured, this is filled during process lead and interact with client.

if such functionality is already available? Do my approach is correct to add this data with in lead
or I should create some new module and capture this data in that module?
