Email Problem?

So I went to my bluehost account and download Sugarcrm. did the whole download thing, and went to active it, and i think in the two or third step.

It ask you to put in an email account, so it can send you notices. So i put in my gmail account. Now every thing is correct, so i did test email. and i got no email.

Now it did the reset of the filling out information, thinking that it need some time to send the email out. Now i am making employee or other users. So i did a couple of dummy ones. and it is saying that it sends an email with their password.

No emails or anything and it has been 5 days now.

What is going on? what do i need to do so i can get this to work?

Anyone else have this issue?

I just did a fresh install at HostGator.

I have put in multiple email addy's - They all send. After I send the test, the following box comes up

An email was sent to the specified email address using the provided outgoing mail settings. Please check to see if the email was received to verify the settings are correct.

No matter what email address I put in for the test, nothing ever shows up!

I'm having the same problem. I've used 3 different email addresses, none will work. Suggestions?
