New Action on Module

Hi, i m new on this

how I could add a new action in an existing module of Sugarcrm 5.2?. I do not want to create a new module. In the module builder not showing me the module Users

What do you mean by action? What are you trying to do?

Take a look at Studio on the Admin page. This tool lets you add fields, change layouts, change labels and more.

Yes, it is possible.

Take a look into modules/Campaigns/controller.php
You will see a definition to a custom action: newsletter.

Are you meaning creating a custom module or installing a package?

Hello:

Don't know if this thread is alive. I think that answer works with the standart modules, but if I whant to create a new action, (the idea is clone de delete action to have an option to delete the record but create a new on other module), on a basic module created via de Module Builder. Can't find a specific controller of my custom module.

Any help?

You can create a custom controller.php for your module and implement the method action_delete. Inside this action you can specify a view and implement it according to your needs.
