Sending Email On Generation Of Lead

Hello All

I need to have a functionality for sending out mails to the particular id whom lead is generated or assigned. I have sugar community addition so workflow management is not disable. Though i dnt want a huge functionality change but surely i want to implement this functionality. So please can anyone help me out in how i can achieve this functionality by adding module or by tweaking code or anything else like that.

Any help is highly appreciable.

Hi,


Using workflow module is not a big deal.

First you need to create the template for the module eg. Leads here.

Next create you workflow definition for the module. After saving it below you will be able to see Alert sub-panel. Now create the alert selecting your source type (template). Similarly you create the condition using the Conditions sub-panel. The conditions indicates here whom you to send the mail to and when?

If you need to change the template in coding then you go to the file /Sugar/include/workflow/alert_utils.php

Thanks for your feedback but i mistyped one thing that i have sugar community edition and so work flow management is disable. So i want a custom code to achieve this. But as i m pretty new to sugarcrm i dnt knw how i can integrate a module or probably add this functionality by changing code of existing code. So please guide me what will be best as per my need.

and if i need to add custom code where i can look for to integrate my code and where i can look for to inirtialize my work.
