sugar CRM and informix DB (11.5 & 11.7)

How to make a connection between Sugar CRM with the informix DB.
If any possibilities Let me know the stpes.

Unfortunately Informix is not supported by SugarCRM

Is any other way to have informix DB for Sugar CRM like anything like code changes in php ?

If you have a business case for this, you can try to influence IBM by going to http://www.iiug.org/opensource.
Note that I don't know what process must be followed to add support for a new database. But if it can be done and contributed it may be worth going there and get in touch with someone.

Hummmm, I am afraid to say that the business case has been requested, and completed. I mean SugarCRM has been successfully ported onto IBM Informix.
