Variables in Workflow

Hello!

I've made a workflow that creates a Task when a field in the lead module contains a specified value. It works fine, however, I want to set certain values for the task's fields. For example, I wish to specify the lead's name in the task's subject and description. I tried writing the variable in the field like this: $first_name

It doesn't work. I get a task with the subject "Send first email to $first_name".

Is there any way to use the variables in this fields?

I'm running Sugarcrm 6.2 OnDemand
