Default Admin Tools for SugarCRM 4.2

OK, here is release canidate #1 of Admin tools.

DO NOT USE THIS ON A PRODUCTION SERVER!!!!!!!!

The final version will be released next Monday. Some new stuff added, some old stuff removed, about 100 bugs removed. This one should be pretty stable but again it is just a beta version.

Any help with bug testing and ANY new feature suggestions would be appreciated.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Added:
    1. The EditViews can now have Save and Cancel buttons at the bottom too.
    2. Improved the title bar display. If the user is on and EditView or DetailView then the name of the item being edited or viewed.
    3. Cleaned up the configuration screen

Here is the final features list for version 2.0
    1. Edit almost every configuration option in SugarCRM.
      1. Browser Title (also Module and Item Name)
      2. Most all Paths
      3. Logging Levels, path & filename
      4. Debugging options
    2. Show/Hide all of the panels on the Home page. This is working it's way into a complete Home Page editor.
      1. If you don't want to see the My Cases on your home page then turn it off WITHOUT having to disable the whole module!
      2. Set the default "Quick ADD" panel on the home page. For example at my company we wanted "Leads" instead of "Contacts"
      3. Set the default Scale for ALL the "Pipeline" charts. They default at 1K, you can change it all the way up to 1B.
    3. Set the default sort order for every listview. Use up to 3 columns for each view. Also allows the user to set a flag so that their ListView Sort Order is set back to the default at every login.
    4. FULL LOGO CONTROL
      1. You can change the default company logo.
      2. You can use a SWF (Flash) as a company logo (NOT DONE YET)
      3. You can set a different logo for every user.
      4. Easy to use logo upload manager
      5. You can turn off the mysterious "MyArea" logo (NOT DONE YET)
      6. You can turn off the logo over the login page.

    Hi kBrill,

Cool update especially the Home Page Editor thing
But there was a bit of distortion on the normal themes... maybe i'll just wait for the final update

    Nice work kbrill,

Side note, when is your site going to be back up? You had some really valuable information there.

    Hi kBrill,

Attached is what happened after I did the update. So I just uninstall the update.
But this is only when I'm using the default theme, but on other themes there is no problem .......
btw can you give an idea how to customize the My Account I wanted to hide panel like Email Options, Outbound Email Settings and Calendar Options for my users. I've been searching thru layout_defs, listview, detailview but I can't seem to see the right code. Appreciate the help

    Hi Overdriv,
I had the same problem: clean the browser cache and reload the application.

hopefully the other message fixed this problem for you. Not really sure why it would happen at all.
