Great enhancement! It is very well designed and interesting to see how these features (dynamic dropdown and toggle requirement) work.

It would be perfect if these features are integrated with the UI of Studio.

I´m planning to develop screen for managing the metadata.
Your suggestion to get it integrated into Studio is pretty viable.
Some requirement is to add the invoking function in the default views.

I have installed the Development Tool Kit in my Sugarcrm site. But don't know how to use it as i am a new user of Sugarcrm. If possible please upload an instruction manual on http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/?group_id=753 so that the new users of sugarcrm can easily use it.

I just tried the sample package for the Opportunities module, and the following is a memo to try it. I'm not sure if these steps are what andopes expected though.

1. Install the package via Module Loader
2. Create custom/modules/Opportunities folder if there it not.
3. Unzip the sample package and copy files to the folder above
4. Create a custom dropdown field with the name of "product_type". It should have a new dropdown list of any name but it should include following items as keys - MATERIAIS, IMPLANTACAO, ARMAZENAGEM, and SERVICOS.
5. Create another dropdown field with the name of "product_name"
6. Create four dropdown lists which will be loaded depending on an item selected in the product_type field. The names of these dropdown lists should be product_type_MATERIAIS_list, product_type_IMPLANTACAO_list, product_type_ARMAZENAGEM_list, product_type_SERVICOS_list. Each dropdown list can include any item.
7. Put two custom fields to the editview and detailview of the Opportunities modules, then save and deploy them.
8. Now you can see how two dropdown fields - product_type and product_name - are dependent.

You can try to add other fields by rewriting update_dropdown_field_defs.php in custom/modules/Opportunites/metadata. I hope you can see how each definition means.

It is exactly as I supposed to do!
I though the sample data was pretty intuitive for everybody, sorry I were wrong!
I'm going to upload an user guide manual.
