    Smile Difference between module in custom and custom/Extension

    Hi,


    I have module directory in 1. custom/ 2. custom/Extension folder

    what is the difference?

    any idea?

    Hi hiko

    custom/Extension: is the folder where extended vardefs, layoutdefs, language, inlcudes and table dictionary are installed by installer packages.
    custom is where sugar load the extended features. Sugar concatenates into custom/ all extended features from custom/Extension/.

    I am new to Sugar CRM (currently working on 5.3.0e) I have a doubt: Where does the custom code should go

    like:

    adding a new menu item in the left panel
    and its related code/controller

    custom code should go into the custom directory.

    If you want to change an existing module the changes should go into

    custom/modules/<module name>
