In which file search logic is written?

I am using Suragar5.0.0f. I have created custom module but its search doesn't work.
Could you please tell what is reason or where is the logic written for searching.

for searching field you can check it the file is
modules/<Modulename>/metada/searchdef.php

you can get the defination of the search fields...
