Default Introducing "ZuckerMail" - Integrated webmail client

    Hello everybody,
we are proud to announce our new product called "ZuckerMail". Basically this is a POP3/IMAP webmail integrated into Sugar, enabling matching and linking your emails against Sugar contacts, leads, accounts, prospects and users, as well as quick import of your mailbox (or individual emails) - including attachments.

    • Use ZuckerMail as your preferred email client
    • Use another email client (Outlook), and import your emails afterwards with ZuckerMail
    • Handles arbitrary number of accounts, both shared and private
    • Match and link emails against Sugar contacts, leads, accounts, prospects and users
    • Import attachments
    • pop3 and imap

We already have a working demo at http://sugardemo.go-mobile.at (user: demo, password: demo - please switch languages to english, if not german speaker ...).
    Awaiting your appreciated feedback.
    Florian

    Very interested in learning more.

Are you releasing this as a free add-on?

    Very good question - thanks.
We will definitly release a basic version for free (not "free" as defined in the GPL, but free-of-charge), and a commercial version with some advanced features (for example, create a new contact/lead/prospect from the email sender).
And it will be available for ALL Sugar flavours.

Looks good. We would possibly use IMAP to share mailboxes from an exchange server - so I was wondering if there are any plans to allow the Zuckermail client to browse private folders below the inbox? Thanks

Hi, ZuckerMail currently handles IMAP boxed, but doesn't contain a "mailbox browser". Thus you have to configure the name of the mailbox to show in ZuckerMail's Account-Manager. it works well for subfolders.
