We are pleased to announce version 2.0 of the Plexcel SugarCRM Module.

This module provides SPNEGO Single Sign-On (SSO), Kerberos login using the standard login form and automatic population of user information from Active Directory into the local Sugar database.

Using this module you push administration back into Active Directory where it can be managed centrally. SPNEGO is the premier authentication mechanism used by Internet Explorer and Firefox in AD IntrAnet environments. This module adds the superior security of Kerberos to your SugarCRM site.

This release is a complete re-write as the 1.x version. If you have any questions or problems, I am personally monitoring our support email and I am eagar to help.

This library uses the Plexcel extension for PHP which can also be used to perform a wide variety of otherwise difficult tasks. When retrieving user information from AD, attributes like times are automatically converted into values that are ideal for PHP. Windows group membership checks are very fast and operate on the fully expanded list of nested groups. You can set passwords, manipulate objects in the directory like groups and do much much more.
