New Teams Module

Hi There,
I have uploaded yet another take on the Teams feature for SugarCE.
This implementation supports team hierarchy (tree like structure).
A user can see all records in depth for all teams that are members of a given parent team that the user belongs to.
I've had couple beta versions up but did not get any feed back so far ....
On my TODO list is integration with Calls and Meetings so when a team is linked to a meeting all users have their schedule updated .Also a default user team needs to be added.
But I am not sure if this is something that is must have. Let me know.
If interested in using it please let me know your feedback on functionality and bugs.

The updated version for CETeams was released today.
Minor and annoying bugs were fixed, but the most exciting thing that has changed is the addition of MassUpdate.
Also I have added minor change to the license agreement.In addition to the GPL you need to agree to the BNL v1.0. I hope this will not change your mind ;-)

The teams now can be mass updated in the usual way familiar to you. The module loader upgrades the existing version of CETeams if you have installed it.

I tried your module, and it looks very good. I only have one problem: My tasks, cases etc dont show up in Dashboard. Is this a bug, or have i done something wrong?

Hi there,
I did try to reproduce the issue you have but I can't. I have deployed 5.2.0d and installed on it
CETeams and also tested along with Open Quotes module (that is not relevant anyway)...
Can you tell me how did you install. What versions of sugar and CETeams you have? Did you do any custom coding before or after?

Hi there,
Before using the module you will have to use studio to add the Team field to the views.
All modules that are available in studio can have a Team added to them.
One exception is the ProspectList (TargetLists) for which I have enabled it by default - you just have to manually edit the HTML files to add the fields.
Some modules do not have the option to have teams so you just have to look at this ProspectList module to figure out the way to add it.

Anyway.... the direct answer to your question is to use studio to add the Tea, field and then you are good to use the CETeams for the Masses

just to report a bug - when you merge contacts is giving some mysql error.

Somebody already reported this bug, but I haven't had the time to investigate it.
It seems that the SQL is looking for the id field instead of the id_c.

Hi ivolator,

After installing the module i cannot see the links to the CE teams module's panel on my admin page i.e. it doesnt show CETeams, User Teams, Manage Teams Modules on the admin page.

But when i diractly type in the url index.php?module=CETeams&action=index i am able to go to the CE teams page

i am using sugarcrm5.2.0e and CE Teams v.1.0.2

Where is the problem , i cant figure out

One thing that I can come up with is that you might have had permission issues and
the installer could not write the lang files to the cache.
Have you looked at your error logs?
If you uninstall and install again does this still happen?
