I am very interested in the Contracts module as well as possibly the Quotes module. I noticed that when trying to create a subcontract to set up the details of a contract, it would not create the subcontract. I could fill out the form and it would submit but it would vanish into thin air. I will see if I can recreate it and get you some log output to better help you understand what's happening. Might be good for me to figure that out too. Also, I was curious to know why you split the Contracts module into Contracts and SubContracts with all the detail being in the SubContracts. Couldn't you just do a single Contracts module and have a field for assigning a contract to another contract as a subcontract or associated contract? Not trying to be shortsighted, just trying to help you keep from over complicating things.

I also wanted to ask for a couple upgrades/enhancements:

Contracts and Quotes:
1) Ability to attach a document (such as pdf/image/doc/etc) of a paper contract to the contract/quote.
2) Ability to attach contracts/quotes to accounts, opportunities, and projects and have them visible from the list view of each module.

Otherwise I am glad to see a simple but functional set of modules.

In short... this was a better way to keep things organized. You'll be able to attach documents, make additional notes via use of the subpanel activities & history plus attach a quote to a contract (sub-contract; this drives the contract amount field).

I guess I'm still just kind of confused why it was done that way. The way you described subcontracts is almost like addendums to contracts, where you can have multiple addendums that adjust different options in the overriding contract. At any rate, I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Do you have any sort of time-frames for any/all of these changes and releases?

Yes, part of the reason is what you have described above... this weekend.

There is a problem with the subpanel, auto-selecting after creation; temporary fix is to re-select after creation.

These issues will be addressed of course, but first things first... hope that makes sense.

Hasn't been that long. He's working on the rest of the latest beta's for the suite I think. He released the Quotes v1.0 beta around 8/10 so we'll probably see the others updated fairly soon. Would that be more or less accurate Rustin?

All modules have been re-worked which was the result of completing the Quotes module and required relationships.

Currently, completing all module subpanel relationships plus adding contract calculated total amount field which will draw the conclusion of initial beta suite release.

the great thing would be to be able to import products from csv like Inquiry the other modules... or did i miss something and it is already possible ?

That's something that is still yet to be included however, a simple csv import option is not out of the question.

That's something that is out of range for the project release however you could add that yourself rather easily. Feel free to post any questions you might have otherwise I will be offering these types of services at a later date.
