    Default 4.2.1.d to 4.5 Upgrade Fails

    I'm running 4.2.1d. I picked up the upgrde to 4.5 this morning and tried to install it.
    I uploaded it. That went fine.
    I clicked install and that started out OK. It presented me with a screen saying:

    The patch is ready to proceed. Click the "Commit" button below to complete the upgrade process.

    If I look at the details, there's a list of files that are checked to be installed.

    I then press the commit button and it says:

    The new Upgrade Wizard will now resume the upgrade process. Please continue your upgrade.

    Nothing else happens at that point. There is no button to continue. I can repeat these steps with the same results.

    Any ideas?

    I'm replying to my own post.

    1) I probably should have posted in the Help area instead of here.

    i upgraded the 4.2.1 version when Sugar had a bad patch file that corrupted my server. I fixed it by reloading 4.2 manually, and then telling it to use my existing database. That meant my upgrade_history listed several ZIP files that were no longer on my server. The 4.5 patch fails if the upgrade_history includes any ZIP files that aren't on the server. So I manually deleted the extra entries from the upgrade_history and the 4.5 upgrade worked fine at that point.
