How to change the Account name under contact list in sugarcrm.I have couple of records also.Thanks in advance

Hi

You have to repair your system from the admin panel (admin->repair). Or if it is still not solve your problem then you have to change in the file custom/modules/contacts/language/en_us.lang.php with the following line

'LBL_ACCOUNT_NAME' => 'Account Name:', (replace Account Name with your name)

Or if you not have a file or directory of "custom/modules/contacts/language/en_us.lang.php" then you can create it

Which option of repair I select?I tried to change in the script you mentioned but the response is same.

Let me tell you how my contact details are imported.I exported the contacts(in .csv file)from one server environment to other by selecting the Export option.

Once I have the .csv file I imported that file on other server and all the records are inserted without any problem.

Is there any particular option I need to select before importing the data.

Hi,

You can perform Quick Repair and Rebuild option.

You have two option to import any data in sugarcrm. 1st you see in the CONTACT module of may be in left side with name IMPORT and second is through PHPMYADMIN page (mean through database).

I select the option of Quick repair even then the repsonse is same.I imported correctly as you suggested.

Can you suggest what I need to check before I go for repair option.

Hi,

You delete your cache folder also for taking right effects changing in your code. First delete cache folder then edit in your eng_us_lang.php (same as i said before thread) and refresh the page.


At the last if still its not working then you again delete cache folder then change in module\contacts\languge\en_us.lang.php

then find the word "Account Name" and replace it with which you want. I think it will solve your problem. Send me your appreciation reply if you find solution with me

there's a repair option called clear template cache or something like that.......that's the one you want. This all assumes that you're looking to change the label for account within the contact module. The post isn't actually very clear as to what you're trying to achieve.

I am still not able to change the Account Name.I did evey solutions you told me but still the Accountname is there.Now I am losing my patience.Please suggest the solutions.
