    Default Access to data

Hello, I have installed SugarCRM Community edition for our sales team of 6 people. One of them is the manager and the rest are at junior sales person level.

The manager wants each sales person to be able to see only his/her data, accounts etc., and not others data where as he should be the only one who can see all sales persons data. Is this possible to do in Community Edition? Any tips to achieve this is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    DK

    Hi DK

You can do that creating a new Role where you configure the access to all modules only for owner.
Then add these users into this Role.
Go to Admin -> Repair -> Repair Role.

Andopes ... I don't think that you need to goto admin>repair after creating a role.

Simply Create the Role eg "Sales". Assign the permissions for each module & view. Save the role. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and select the users that you wish to add to the role.

    It is just for confirmation.
I had answered several threads when the users installed packages, added users on some roles and the roles were not properly applied.
    Just to avoid further issues.

OK .. I'll bear that in mind though we've never come across it as an issue
