Hi,

I am also having the same problem with the "Related to" field when I try to import a Calls csv. Any help would be appreciated
Workaround: Import for each user and assign to admin. Then mass update admin to the actual user. A bit time consuming but will work.

Oh ... and DON'T use 5.5 for production purposes ... it's not ready and won't be for several months. Use 5.2(k) and upgrade to 5.5 once it reached patch e or f.

Thanks for your response, I figured out what I was doing wrong, I was trying to map to "Assigned User" instead of "Assigned To".
For the Calls , I have to export the accounts then do a look up in excel for the id. But now I found a new problem when importing Calls::
If day <= 12, the date imports fine. But if day > 12 , sugar imports 01/01/1970
I have tried these formats already dd/mm/yyyy , mm/dd/yyyy, yyyy-mm-dd , and get the same result
Any help would be appreciated
Enrique
I'm experiencing the same problem while importing some calls:
I've 2500 entries in that csv file, no error is found when importing, but...
1500 of them are with the following start_date: 1970-01-01 00:00:00.
The rest of them are fine, but it only concerns the records with a day lower or equal to 12...
I've already been to the admin section, changed the date preference setting to the french format, which is dd/MM/yyyy, but that doesn't help.
When I try to import data with wrong date format (for example: MM/dd/yyyy), the lines are rejected. So the date preference setting seems to be taken into account.
Is there a problem in the import tool with date, or maybe it's something with the database configuration?
Thanks in advance,
Jérôme.
Ok, I've found a solution to avoid the problem (but it's still there...): The date convertion is not made correctly, and it's actually problematic. Here is a quick way to solve it:
- First, put the date preference setting to the default format: MM/dd/yyyy.
- Then, format the dates in your source file with the same default format (you can use excel for that).
- Run your import.
- Finally, once the import is done, you can change back the date preference setting to display according to the format you want.
I hope it's gonna help you
Jérôme.

I tried that but with de advance settings, not the locale settings at admin . I will try that and let you know how it went. Thanks
It worked like you said, thanks for the help. It doesnt work if you select the date format in the advanced settings at the import, the user must have it set on its preferences.
