Default Adding accounts first or after

Hi all, new to the system. What is the best way to start using the system. I am starting to send postcards out to a mailing list of 100k. Do you think it would be better to import the list into Sugar and then do follow up work or to work off the mail list and add them into Sugar as you call them? Thanks for your time....

I think add the accounts and contacts first is better because then you can have all the mails linked to the related entities.

not sure what you mean really. There is nothing linked before hand as the post cards are mailed out and there is nothing in Sugar to start with.

    Thanks

I think, as SugarCRM handles Mail campaigns currently, its really 6 of one, half dozen of another. Either way is fine.

If it were my project I think I would import all the records first (into Leads) then create a Campaign called 'Postcard' or something, then as you call them relate the lead to the campaign and that way you can see who has been called and who has not.

You could also just add a checkbox or something to Leads and check it when you call them, then you could add that checkbox to the search panel and set up the listview to just show Leads you have or have not called.

You could get rid of the checkbox later when the campaign is pver and the data isnt needed anymore.
