Default all the SugarOS Japanese are deleted....

I don't really know about licence of open source or what common sense is like in IT industry, but I just feel this is evil.
I would like you to tell me if I am right or wrong that I consider it evil as I don't know what it's like.

    -------------------------------------
Since this June, all the SugarOS 4.* Japanese edition has been deleted.
And SugarCE Japanese is not yet released.

That means there is no way for Japanese speakers to access SugarCRM unless you pay money to Japanese agent, CareBrains.

I suppose Japanese language pack is developed mainly by CareBrains member.

In June at Japanese online forum, after the deletion,
in reply to a question "Why we can not download SugarOS-Full-4.5.0hj.zip at SourceForge?",
one of the Care Brains member said, "Japanese Sugar Open Source is re-buliding SourceForge project. Use English edition shortly. Mostly it's OK in Japanese."
    http://forum.sugarforum.jp/viewtopic.php?t=638#2013
Some people started complaining. There is no reason they can delete all the SugarOS file for rebuilding it and they keep it off the net for four month.

After that, all the CareBrain's member stop explaining anything there, though they seem active on commercial activities.

    What do you say?

    Hi there,

I'm not familiar with the situation with CareBrains, but your statement (repeated below) is incorrect:

"That means there is no way for Japanese speakers to access SugarCRM unless you pay money to Japanese agent, CareBrains."

Anyone has the ability to create language packs for any language. In SugarForge.org, we sometimes have several language packs for the same language, built by different people. You can see the list of language packs by clicking on this link. There is nothing to prevent another interested group from posting a Japanese language pack on the site. It's just a matter of someone stepping up and doing it, much like CareBrains has in the past.

    Hi
I'm in charge of the Japanese Language Pack project, and the next one will be released as soon as Sugar Community Edition 5.0 beta2 is released.

We've been working on Sugar CE 5.0 beta1 but it is not stable yet for us to develop a complete (multi-byte) language pack.

I announced this road map to Japanese community members last month but have forgotten to do it here.

Please look forward to it as 5.0 beta2 is released.

Technically, right. But still, I have no idea why they have been making all the archives completely deleted, and keep it over four month.
That's the whole point. That's why many people complained and now stop coming to the Japanese forum as no rational answer is stated.
I guess you can see there is no file from the link you have noted.
There used be archives over five to six month ago.

It could be possible with former Sugar licence to delete it without notice, but still I can't help feeling it is evil, selling only commercial version and stopping all the files available while they repeat to use words like "Open source" or "GPL" when they make public relations almost every time.

    Hi

We're not selling the commercial version of the language pack at all. We've just focused on making the package GPL'd and testing 5.0 beta. This is because the language pack we developed is not licensed under SPL, but under our own license. You'll see the language pack for 5.0 soon, which is completely compliant with GPL v3. Please wait.

I have confirmed the announcement that I had not notice.

But still, why did you make anyone incapable to access any Japanese files? You did't have to do it.
You are not clearing the biggest question arose in the Japanese community after you have deleted all the files. They stop comming to the community by that.

No rational statement is announced in the forum. I am not sure if you see all the complain by Japanese community, but Ms. Kondo does, I think. Your members have never come after early July's mysterious statement that made some argument.

Anyway, it is nice to have you here.

That's what I said. There was a serious incompatibility of the license. We're changing it but the priority is on 5.0 beta.

Thanks, ruchida I actually don't understand completely as I am not familiar with those licenses.

I have never heard that SPL has effected so you cannot put SugarOS 4.* on the net.
I hope you explain it to Japanese forum where some communty members argued, it was actually one of the biggest thread at "Install and Upgrade".

They have stopped comming there already, though.

Your staff member said, " We stop it, because we re-build."
Then people went , and start complaining. They seemed to have disbelief in it as it sounds irrational, and your staff members have never come back.

I am not sure if you can fix it by the explanation that you made here, but it doesn't sound very good for you to have people who has sence of disbelief at you.

I don't see it is only her mistake.
Did you really have your members realize why you cannot put all the SugarOS 4.* files on open server, so he or she can have people understand why? It could be a matter of leadership or internal communication.
