Last month, we released a SnapLogic package which create a basic star schema data mart organized around opportunities in SugarCRM. The download is at: http://packages.snaplogic.org/packages/SugarDataMart/

The schema consists for an opportunity fact table, and dimensions for accounts, campaigns, contacts, users, and time. The package was developed using MYSQL as the database engine. This setup is useful for more complex queries that aren't efficient against the main database while it's in use.

This is a first pass at the functionality , and I'm interested in collecting feedback from Sugar users on whether or not this is useful and how it can be improved.

Also, we only created a limited number of reports in Open Office, since there are so many reporting tools available. I"m interested in hearing what preferred reporting tools are common among SugarCRM users, and if there's a strong preference, we will probably convert the reference reports to that tool.
