Asterisk call logs + SugarCRM?

Here's the deal -- I don't want Asterisk@Home. I have a SugarCRM server and an Asterisk server. What I would like is for SugarCRM to read the call logs of the Asterisk server (I'm using the mysql module, so it would be connecting and reading that database), and then log in SugarCRM somewhere nice and neat when a call was made with a customer (Account/Contact), how long it lasted, etc. This would be extremely handy.


Has there been any work done in this field? I have been searching but not finding what I'm looking for.

I completely agree, check out the Asterisk patch in the SugarForge they have the best integration work thus far. However, I was disheartened to learn that their call center style modules only work with Sugar PRO.
