Default Automated email to new leads from web form

Is it possible to create an automated email that goes out in response to new leads that are automatically entered into Sugar via a web form?

    I'm using Sugarondemand Pro 6.1.5.

    Thanks!

    Yes it is possible.
Probably your webform is outside sugar, in some external website, and when it is submitted it is sent to your page which is respossible to capture the values and input them into sugar database.

In this moment you have to call some php mailer class (you can find it easially on web), and configure it to use some SMTP server. Then as soon a new lead is inserted you can use the lead email to send a mail to him, or/and other mail to inform some resposible about this new registration.

Yes you can do this with a workflow. Just create a new workflow on new Leads, make the condition "When target module changes" and then add an alert. If you have any trouble doing this just submit a case for it and support will help you out.

You should be able to do that via the Workflow Engine, by setting up a definition that sends out an alert upon record creation and set the recipient of the alert to be the email address of the Lead record.

If that's not flexible enough for you, you could adapt this idea from my blog:
