Automatic Follow-up Call after new Lead

First of all, SugarCRM is an awesome find for us. We've been able to make such great use of it. Hopefully soon some of us here will begin to develop new enhancements for the community (the subject of this message may be such an enhancement).

We have people who go out making prospecting cold calls. They come back in and enter, as Leads, what they discovered. We are finding that it's taking a bit of time to do a "Schedule Call" after saving the new lead. Is there a way to have the system automatically "Schedule a Call" for x number of days following the entry date of the Lead while also assigning that Call to a different user?

(An example of something that comes close is the sub-panel that appears when converting a Lead to a Contact. There is an option to "Create Appointment" right there easily available.)

Hi Joey,

in the Professional and Enterprise version, this sort of functionality can easily be created using the Workflow functionality

Thanks for the input. I noticed as I was upgrading to 4.0 that "Workflow" features were stated as something new to the OS version. Was I misreading that? If not, where are these new features located?
