B2B Meeting Conference with vendor paying -- can Sugar CRM do this

okay wondering if this is the right software to use...

Criteria:

We have a conference once a year that connects vendors (suppliers) with companies interested in their services:
1. can this software be used to automatically set up the meetings and calculate the best possible revenue?
2. and if not what software could do that for us?
3. or do we need to custom build an application?

Yes SugarCRM can do this but not without some customisation. My thoughts are that SugarCRM would be the relationship management engine and a User-Friendly Portal like Joomla would be a front end for customers and suppliers.

Eminently achievable ... but not without some bespoke code.
