In the supported platforms docs, the preferred webserver stacks are Linux (Apache and php) and windows (IIS and php). However, for database, it gives both MySQL and MSSQL for both Linux and Windows based systems.

I don't currently see us moving our webserver stacks from Linux (and apache) but as we have a separate database server, then I'd be interested to see if we could technically use MSSQL instead of MySQL and what the performance differences are?

Is that a feasible option - or if someone wants to use MSSQL, is IIS and Windows the recommended webserver too?
