Hi.
I want to be use sugarcrm to maintain all schedule data for an eye doctor's office. The calendar that comes with sugar and the other calendar module I have seen (calendar2) both enable a user to add meetings and calls to the calendar.
My problem is that a meeting does not really describe what I do-- I do not invite multiple contacts to an eye exam. I only invite one contact. Furthermore, I do not give a "name" to my meetings. The contact name IS the name of the meeting.
How easy or difficult will it be to create the type of customization I am looking for-- a one-to-many relationship between contacts and meetings (as opposed to the many-to-many relationship that exists out of the box) and eliminating the need to name a meeting because the meeting's name would be the name of the one contact who has been invited.
I looked in studio and did not see a way to customize meetings the way other modules can be customized. If that is not an option, can a custom module be created that would represent an appointment, and could THAT module be tied into calendar2 or the letrium calendar?
Or does what I am looking for already exist?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
