    Default Campaign generating duplicate emails

    When running an email campaign, multiple SugarCRM is creating multiple emails for some contacts. This means we need to manually go into the email queue and remove the duplicates.

    I suspect perhaps these duplicates are coming from names we entered and then deleted when we first started using SugarCRM, but I don't really know. There is no pattern to the problem that I can see. We are using ver 5.2.0h.

    I would be grateful for any tips on troubleshooting this problem. Thank you!

    Have you checked the Target List associated with the campaign to make sure that the e-mail address is not listed multiple times? I've never checked to see what happens when one does add it more than once, so it may ignore it automatically, but it is worth looking into.

    The target list is correct, however the email queue has duplicate emails. Is it possible the database is corrupt?

    Hi SugarCRM,

    Know its been a long while. Just to revist this topic which I have recently encountered:

    I examined some of my records and it seems that there will be duplicate emails for contacts with 2 emails but only one if the contact has one email address.

    Should this be looked at? Or is there a technical workaround for this?

    It is a norm that contacts have more than one email but it is simply confusing when more than one contact is seen in the email campaign queue.

    i just encountered this today. Does anyone know if the email get sent more than once to the same person?

    Consider:

    you might subscribe the same user to 3 subscription lists depending on their area of interest/expertise:

    Cars
    Boats
    Planes

    So, they exist on each list.

    Your email Campaign uses the Cars subscription list ... fine ... user gets 1 email

    Your email Campaign uses the Cars, Boats and Planes subscription lists ... fine ... user gets 1 email

    Sugar Campaigns suppress multiple sends to the same email address.
