    Question Campaign Types

    Hello everyone!!

I'm new in Sugar and let's say I know the basics about it but I feel that I need your help; I have a question for you guys...
how could I follow a campaign, no matter if it is Telemarket, email,, etc. based, I mean, see statistics of how the campaign is doing every day. The issue is that I couldn't see the difference between campaign types after I created them, for example, I created an email based campaign and a telemarket campaign but I didn't understand why the telemarket campaign has a merge mail button, aren't telemarket campaigns based on phone calls?, so, why do we need a merge mail button?, doesn't make sense! . Instead, I was expecting to see a form or something that enables me to start working on this campaign after it's launched and keep track of it while it is still active.

Can you give me an explanation of this or lead me please to some documentation that explains everything about campaigns in a more detailed way, in fact, I'd like to have something like that for every module.

I Hope I explained myself in a good way so that you understand the idea of my doubt.

Thank you a lot you for your help and suggestions.

    Juan Miguel

    Default Re: Campaign Types

    Hi, Juan

Almost all campaigns types has no a specific behavior inside SugarCRM, they are just for logging purpose, but the Email campaign really has a specific behavior inside SugarCRM.
With this you can schedule a campaign with images to one or more prospect lists including any set of Users, Contacts, Leads and Prospects with the ability of tracking sent email, received email (for the recipients), clicking on the image (with can be attached to campaign) which is the marketing purpose. You can also view who recipients decide to don't receive email anymore.
This is done automatically by the system.
You just need to configure an inbound email, import into sugar your recipients (*Contacts, Prospects, Leads), create your prospect lists (and adding recipients into their), create your campaign and schedule it to any time you want.
