Can the 4.01b patch be installed manually?

Hi,

Can the 4.01b patch be installed manually by just over writing the files since the upgrade wizard is not working and this patch fixes the problem with 4.0.1a.

Hi chucknb87122, patch upgrades like 401b are designed to be used via the Upgrade Wizard (UW). We test only using the UW. While it may be technically possible to copy files directly from the ZIP file you'll be entering unchartered territory if you do so.

Our Installation/Upgrade Guide, most recently for 401a (located here: http://www.sugarforge.org/frs/downlo...Guide_v400.pdf) specifically states that "Attempting to manually upgrade by simply replacing files and running the upgrade SQL will not work and is not supported. You must use the Upgrade Wizard.""

I am finding the same issue with 4.0.1b stating it is not a valid upload when using the wizard. First time I have had a problem with a patch update.

Yes, I get 'not valid upload' too trying to update from 4.0.1a

i also get a not valid upgrade message. So whats the solution? What would be the manual upgrade process?
