Hi,

I am new to Sugar 5.0 and am trying to add some custom fields. For example, lets say I want to add a Quote Number field that is unique for us, and I want this field to show up on the Quotes Module and on the Contracts Module.

How do I make the field show up on both modules and not have to add it as a unique field for each module?

And if someone enters a value in that field in one module, how do you make that value show up on the other module? I hope that makes sense. I dont want to have to add the info twice.

Also, is there a way to have a field that will generate an automatic number? For example 0001, 0002, etc

I am not a programmer of any sort so please try to explain this in very simpl terms if possible.
