Can not print out charts from my Sugar home page

Hello All,

On my Sugarcrm home page, I've added a few charts, and when I print the page, the charts do not print out. I noticed this in version 4.5 (with the dashboard), and last week I upgraded to ver 5. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes it's the same issue for me in 5.0 RC and GA.

Yes, because the charts are Flash-based, it will not be possible to print them from the web page. Unfortunately, the only way to print a Flash movie is through the Flash file itself currently. This has been the issue for quite a while now, hopefully in the future we can correct it as well.

in other words it is a browser issue not sugar issue. Flash cannot be printed under IE, FF or safari.

I ended up doing an import and converting it to a jpg. (linux based w/s) Which worked, but involves extra steps.. and didn't look quite right.

I hope a work around will surface soon.

In our company some user can print other can not.
This depends on the printer model and its driver they use.
As a workaround I tested the PDFcreator printer driver which generates PDF-Files and this worked always fine.
