Can SMS feature be incorporated in Sugarcrm

Even i am curious to learn about this.

One way u can approach is to configure sugarCRM with twitter and can have ur mobile phone configured with twitter

I have not tried but maybe this would help

It is a matter of sending mails.
The mobile service providers provide with some mail id's through which you can send emails as sms.
In india i have found Airtel doing this job. you need to pay for this.
procedure is that if u want to send a sms to 9243012345 then send a mail to
9243012345@airtel.sms.com which sends the body of the mail as the sms text.

Think you can easily send mails from sugarcrm , using sendmail or STMP{ if its configured }

I have found a new option at Ozeki to add SMS feature to Sugarcrm. They also has good docs to do the integration. sms-integration.com/p_197-sugarcrm-sms.html

although it isn't open source- Twilio Cloud Communications – APIs for Voice, VoIP and Text Messaging may offer some options.
